How will your ideas contribute to shaping whats next

We are looking for an urban planning professional who is ready to grow their consulting career and contribute to the delivery of planning services across infrastructure and development projects. Working alongside experienced planners and multidisciplinary specialists you will support project delivery research approvals and client outcomes while continuing to build your technical knowledge and consulting capability.

About the Role

As a member of our Environment and Planning group you will contribute to statutory and strategic planning services across key markets including energy water government aviation transport and resources. You will work on multidisciplinary projects from early planning through to approvals helping prepare clear practical and integrated planning advice.

You will collaborate with project managers technical specialists clients and stakeholders. With guidance from senior team members you will take ownership of defined work packages manage priorities and contribute to high-quality project deliverables.

What Youll Do

  • Support project delivery - contribute to infrastructure and precinct-scale projects across statutory planning regulatory approvals strategic planning feasibility and environmental assessment.
  • Prepare quality planning outputs - undertake research site and policy analysis and assist with planning reports approval documentation technical inputs and client presentations.
  • Navigate planning requirements - help interpret relevant planning and environmental legislation policies and approval pathways escalating complex matters when required.
  • Work collaboratively - coordinate with planners and specialists across disciplines to support integrated advice and well-managed project outcomes.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders - participate in meetings consultations and project communications building confidence in presenting planning information clearly and professionally.
  • Contribute to team and business growth - share knowledge support proposals and bids and look for opportunities to improve the way we deliver planning services.

What Youll Bring

You are a developing planning professional who combines sound technical foundations with curiosity initiative and a collaborative approach. You are comfortable working with guidance while taking responsibility for your own deliverables.

  • Relevant planning experience - typically 3 to 6 years of experience in urban environmental infrastructure or development planning gained in consulting government or a related environment.
  • Planning knowledge - working knowledge of statutory and/or strategic planning including policy review development assessment infrastructure planning or environmental approvals.
  • Project contribution - experience supporting projects coordinating inputs and delivering work to agreed quality time and budget expectations.
  • Clear communication - the ability to write concise reports explain planning matters to different audiences and contribute constructively in project and client discussions.
  • Strong working style - good organisation attention to detail sound judgement and a willingness to seek guidance and learn from feedback.
  • Relevant qualification - a Bachelors degree or higher in urban planning environmental planning or a related discipline.
