Building onover 40 years of successful major project delivery we are seeking anaccomplished Traffic Manager to join our team and play a critical rolein the delivery of a major $400M regional road restoration project.
Initiallybased in Sydney before mobilising to project this role offers a uniqueopportunity to take ownership of traffic management strategy and deliveryacross a major regional road restoration project that will improve connectivityand resilience across regional NSW.
As TrafficManager you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe efficient andcompliant movement of road users throughout project delivery while workingclosely with Transport for NSW clients local authorities and project teams tominimise disruption and maximise project outcomes.
WhatYoull Do
- Lead the development implementation and management of project-wide traffic management strategies.
- Oversee design review and approval processes for Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS).
- Ensure compliance with Transport for NSW requirements Austroads guidelines and project specifications.
- Manage traffic staging road occupancy approvals and stakeholder coordination activities.
- Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure traffic impacts are effectively managed throughout construction.
- Liaise with clients local councils emergency services regulatory authorities and community stakeholders.
- Lead traffic risk assessments and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented.
- Monitor traffic performance and identify opportunities to improve safety efficiency and project delivery outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to traffic management personnel across the project.
- Support future tenders and project pursuits with traffic management expertise and delivery input.
What Youll Bring
- Extensive experience in traffic management leadership across major road and civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of Transport for NSW traffic management requirements and standards.
- Proven experience developing and implementing complex traffic staging strategies.
- Demonstrated success managing stakeholder relationships across government client and community interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of temporary traffic management road occupancy requirements and operational risk management.
- Excellent planning communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead teams and influence project outcomes across multidisciplinary environments.
- Relevant traffic management qualifications and industry accreditations.
- Experience working on major road construction or transport infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
