Job Summary

We are seeking an eager and motivated Trades Assistant to join our Trailer Shed in Coffs Harbour on a full time basis.

This role is well suited to someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys a hands-on approach

What Youll Do:

This role is well suited to someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys a hands-on approach:

  • Assisting qualified tradespeople with mechanical repairs and panel work

  • Preparing vehicles components and work areas for mechanical work

  • Using hand and power tools to support mechanical tasks

  • Preparing surfaces for fibreglassing (cleaning sanding masking)

  • Mixing resins and applying fibreglass materials under supervision

  • Trimming sanding and finishing fibreglass components to specification

  • Supporting repairs to vehicle bodies panels and structural components

What Youll Bring:

  • Prior experience working in a mechanical workshop environment

  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

  • Have an eager and positive mindset

  • Clear and concise communication skills

  • Motivated reliable and a good work ethic
