What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Team Member to join our Works Operations team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with practical experience in concrete construction and maintenance activities including form setting and finishing works. Working as part of a collaborative team you will help deliver quality road drainage and concrete infrastructure projects that support our growing community.

What your day will look like:

  • Deliver road drainage and concrete construction and maintenance works
  • Construct and finish concrete projects including kerb and channel footpaths and culverts
  • Operate and maintain Council plant tools and equipment safely
  • Undertake pre-start inspections and basic maintenance activities
  • Apply traffic control and safe work practices in public environments
  • Record completed works timesheets and service requests using Council systems

What youll need for success:

  • General Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Valid MR Licence recognised in Queensland
  • Demonstrated experience in concrete works including form setting and finishing
  • Experience constructing kerb and channel footpaths and culverts
  • Experience in road and drainage maintenance and construction activities
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain plant tools and equipment
  • Understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and provide quality customer service
  • Basic digital skills to record work activities and service requests

What s nice to have:

  • Safe Working Near Exposed Live Parts (SWNELP)
  • Chainsaw Level 1
  • Traffic Management Implementation (Level 2)
