Tax & Financial Accountant

At MediAesthetics our Finance team plays an important role in supporting a growing and complex national are looking for a Tax and Financial Accountant to join our Adelaide Support Office and work across both tax and financial accounting. Reporting to the Tax Manager and Finance Manager youll support tax compliance month-end reporting reconciliations and financial controls across our corporate and Joint Venture the roleThis is a broad accounting role with a strong technical focus. Youll spend approximately 50% of your time supporting the Tax Manager across income tax GST FBT and tax-effect accounting with the remainder supporting the Finance Manager across month-end reporting reconciliations and work closely with the MediAesthetics Finance team Wesfarmers Health and Wesfarmers Group Tax teams external advisors and Joint Venture responsibilities include:Tax & ComplianceSupport income tax GST and FBT compliance and deferred tax tax-effect accounting and income tax provisions at half-year and BAS returns tax filings and annual tax returns including for Joint Venture FBT returns and supporting tax policies procedures controls and process with tax projects across MediAesthetics and Wesfarmers AccountingSupport the month-end close and financial reporting and review reconciliations including Point of Sale and balance sheet accounting treatments and perform key financial accurate and timely reporting to Wesfarmers Health and Wesfarmers across a complex entity structure including approximately 80 Joint Venture entities and 26 corporate youYoure an accountant who enjoys the detail understands the importance of getting the numbers right and wants exposure across both tax and financial will bring:5 years accounting experience including 2 years tax across corporate tax GST and financial accounting and month-end with reconciliations reporting and financial Excel and systems attention to detail and analytical skills.A proactive problem-solving stakeholder and communication working across multiple entities would be highly or CPA qualified or currently studying towards CA/ tertiary qualifications in Accounting Commerce Finance or a related join MediAestheticsYoull join a high-performing Finance team within the Wesfarmers Health portfolio with the opportunity to build your experience across tax financial accounting and Joint youre an accountant looking for a role with technical depth variety and exposure to a complex national business wed love to hear from you.
