This role operates within Westhavens Immediate Transition Model (ITM) designed to support children and young people with complex needs and trauma backgrounds. Through trauma-informed care structured support and daily guidance you will help create a safe stable environment where young people can build confidence and thrive.

As a Support Worker no two days are the same. You will provide 24/7 relational and therapeutic support by:
Providing a safe nurturing and structured home environment for young people.
Supporting daily living skills emotional regulation and personal development.
Facilitating community engagement educational support and recreational activities.
Note: As children and young people require round-the-clock care 24/7 shift availability (including active night shifts weekends and sleepovers) is required.
Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention (or relevant qualification) or as per the Residential Care Competency Framework (when implemented) or a Diploma in Community Services (or related field) preferred.
Previous experience in residential care youth work or providing direct care to children and young people.
Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander applicants: A formal qualification is desirable but relevant experience and a willingness to participate in training is warmly welcomed and accepted.
Valid NSW Drivers Licence.
Current First Aid & CPR Certification.
Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC) & NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Willingness to be listed on the Residential Care Workers Register (RCWR).
