About the Role:
We areseekingdedicated and resilient Support Workers to join ourCommunityteam in Redbank Plains supportinganNDIS participant with complex behavioural support part of a skilled and consistent team delivering person-centred support that promotes safety independence and meaningful outcomes.
This role involves supporting a participant with complex behavioural support needs implementing evidence-based strategies outlined in their Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP) and contributing to a safe predictable and positive support environment.
Every shift presents an opportunity to build trust support independence and contribute to long-term positive as part of a collaborative team that values consistency communication and a shared commitment to upholding the participants rights dignity and goals.
This role is ideal for experienced Support Workers seeking a specialist support opportunity where consistency resilience and behavioural support skills are highly valued.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering person-centred support within the participants home and community.
- Implementing and following Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) and other support strategies.
- Promoting safety independence choice and community participation.
- Responding confidently and professionally to complex situations whilemaintaininga calm and positive approach.
- Building positive relationships with the participant their family and the broader support team.
- Maintainingaccuratedocumentation and reporting.
About You
Werelooking for experienced Support Workers who understand the importance of consistency professionalism and relationship-based support.
You will bring:
- 2 years experience supporting people with disability including participants with complex care and behavioural support needs.
- Demonstrated experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) and working within a restrictivepracticesframework where applicable.
- The ability to remain calm professional and solution-focused in challenging situations.
- Strong communicationand interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- A genuine commitment to human rights person-centred practice and positive outcomes.
- Resilience emotional maturity and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary support network.
- A willingness toparticipateinadditionaltraining and ongoing development to support the participants needs.
You will be highly regarded if you have experience supporting people who:
- Present with complex behaviours of concern.
- Require intensive behavioural support.
- Have psychosocial intellectual neurological or multiple support needs.
