Our client is a Large Government organisation seeking an experienced Supervisor Fleet Design to join their Fleet Production Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead engineering tasks for specialised vehicle/appliance design and development providing innovative and fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
Supervise and mentor team members managing workload performance and delivery outcomes.
Oversee engineering projects including planning resource coordination costing risk management reporting and compliance with relevant standards.
Review and assess designs drawings models and specifications to ensure they meet organisational and technical requirements.
Identify and manage safety technical financial and quality risks in line with relevant standards government policy and best practice.
Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders engineers suppliers technicians and contractors.
Selection Criteria:
Advanced Diploma in a relevant technical field such as mechanical civil electrical/mechatronic engineering or equivalent technical expertise.
Strong experience in engineering design principles including interpretation of drawings models specifications and relevant standards.
Understanding of design best-practice principles and Australian Design Rules.
Demonstrated experience leading a small technical/design team and delivering design-related outcomes.
Strong technical management research problem-solving and project management capabilities.
Experience in mechanical automotive heavy vehicle specialised vehicle fleet or related engineering environments is highly desirable.
Experience with AutoCAD Autodesk or similar drafting/design software is highly desirable.
Emergency services and/or defence experience will be highly regarded.
