This favorable national civil contractor is a leading Tier 2 contractor who work within resources local authorities and main roads projects across Australia. Led by a team of highly skilled professionals within the industry this contactor is experienced across multiple disciplines including roads earthworks drainage and concrete structures.

This employer of choice has a strong pipeline of long-term landmark projects. Apart of the initial team in the planning and pre-construction phase of the project we are looking to secure a Structures Project Engineer. This project consists of major roadworks structures and rail and you will be involved in all aspects of project delivery with a particular focus on planning & procurement and then transition into delivery of this role you will require exceptional planning and organisational skills cost awareness and forecasting ability preferably working on Qld Department of Main Roads contracts.

Reporting to the Project Manager your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Planning programming & resourcing
• Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers
• Subcontractor management
• Liaising with clients contractors & consultants
• Progress claims & variations
• Reporting on a weekly & monthly basis
• Providing input into strategic planning

The successful individual must have at least 5 6 years post graduate experience with 4 years on main roads / TMR / council project experience delivery structures / bridges on major road projects and have relevant Civil Engineering tertiary qualifications. Exceptional communication planning subcontractor management and interfacing with different disciplines across medium to large projects for a local Australian civil contractor is required.

This is a local opportunity initially in Brisbane and will mobilise to Sunshine Coast site in 2027. This project will continue to offer career development with future plans in place to ensure you are on track to excel as an Engineer on one of SEQ next major project!
