Help deliver some of the most important projects in Aboriginal health in the NT.

AMSANT is the peak body for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services in the Northern Territory. Our strategic projects tackle the big sector-shaping work including Accelerated Pathways to Community Control and the development of AMSANTs Research Strategy.

Were looking for a Strategic Projects Officer to help bring these projects to life. Youll drive project plans and deliverables coordinate stakeholders support community and sector consultation and produce the outputs that keep things moving. Its a hands-on role for someone organised motivated and keen to see real progress on the ground working alongside communities and the community-controlled sector.

The filling of the Strategic Projects Officer position is intended to constitute a special/equal opportunity measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth) and s 57 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1996 (NT). Responsibilities

1. Develop and drive the delivery of project plans project outputs and deliverables for assignedstrategic project(s).
2. Coordinate project activities stakeholders and timelines to keep work on track.
3. Lead or support community and sector consultation including engagement with AMSANT members Board and other stakeholders.
4. Conduct research and analysis to support project delivery including gathering evidencesynthesising findings and contributing to project related outputs.
5. Prepare project deliverables governance papers progress reporting and supporting materials.
6. Support relevant subcommittees and working groups (for example the AP2CC Subcommittee Research Subcommittee or other groups formed to deliver projects).
7. Work closely with policy and communications colleagues to deliver project outcomes.
8. Other duties as agreed with the Strategic Projects Lead and team manager.

Selection Criteria (qualifications and attributes)

Essential

Project experience: Experience (1 years) in project or program delivery preferably inareas relevant to the Aboriginal community-controlled context.

• Project delivery: Ability to drive workplans manage competing priorities and deliver outputs on time.
• Coordination: Skills in coordinating activities stakeholders and timelines to keep projects on track.
• Research and analysis: Ability to gather evidence analyse information and contribute to project and research outputs.

Relationships: Ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholdersparticularly Aboriginal people communities and organisations.

Consultation and facilitation: Experience planning and supporting community or sector consultation and facilitating engagement that centres Aboriginal voices.

Communication: Evidence of clear written and verbal communication including preparing project materials and reports.

Sector knowledge: Knowledge of ACCHSs and Aboriginal health policy and experience working with Aboriginal communities.

Cultural knowledge: Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories.

Cultural safety: Demonstrated commitment to cultural safety with experience engagingrespectfully with Aboriginal Elders and Traditional Owners.

Travel: Willingness and ability to travel within the NT and interstate.

Desirable

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional or lived experience.
• Project management or project delivery experience.
• Qualitative and quantitative data analysis and synthesis.
• Experience in the Aboriginal community-controlled sector.
