Job Summary

About the Opportunity 

Lead the planning and delivery of a portfolio of strategic initiatives that support the Universitys goals and operational priorities. Working across multiple business areas you will coordinate complex projects and change initiatives collaborate with stakeholders to define priorities and delivery plans and ensure successful implementation of new services processes and systems.

You will drive a consistent and effective approach to change management stakeholder engagement and service transition while partnering with leaders and delivery teams to achieve outcomes that enhance the student staff and research experience. The role also champions continuous improvement of project and delivery practices tools and capabilities across the University.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of strategic initiatives that support University priorities and operational goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify needs provide advice and develop practical solutions to complex challenges.
  • Manage demand priorities and business requests ensuring resources are aligned to organisational needs.
  • Oversee a portfolio of projects programs and services monitoring progress risks dependencies and outcomes.
  •  Lead change planning and implementation activities ensuring successful adoption of new systems processes and ways of working.
  • Support service transitions and readiness activities to ensure solutions are effectively embedded into operations.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders influencing decision-making and facilitating effective collaboration.
  • Lead coach and develop staff fostering a high-performance customer-focused and continuous improvement culture.
  • Monitor performance and drive improvements to business processes services and delivery practices.

About you

  • The successful applicant will be a strategic and outcomes-focused leader who can translate organisational priorities across the Corporate Services portfolio into actionable plans manage complex portfolios and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • The successful applicant will be an influential relationship builder with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills capable of partnering with senior leaders navigating competing priorities and driving collaboration across diverse teams.
  • The successful applicant will be a proactive and adaptable change leader who thrives in complex environments brings strong governance and delivery expertise and successfully leads organisations through transformation and continuous improvement.

What we can offer
This is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months primarily based at Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.

Griffith Universitys sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul Yuggera Jagera Turrbal Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary

A competitive salary will be negotiated with the preferred candidate.
