We have an exciting new opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager to join our Strategic Sales Team.
As a Strategic Account Manager youll take ownership of a high value customer portfolio. The role focuses on building strong relationships with these key customer stakeholders developing account growth strategies coordinating cross-functional support and delivering value-added packaging solutions aligned to customer and business objectives
Therole is responsible formanaging and developing strategic customer partnerships across national and multi-site accounts to support long-term sales growth customer retention and commercial outcomes.
This is a highly autonomous position ideal for someone who enjoys being out on the road building strong face-to-face connections with customers. When youre not visiting clients your base will be our Scoresby site providing a supportive hub for collaboration and planning.
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer and business objectives
- Identify opportunities to grow sales improve margins and increase customer value
- Prepare and present customer proposals business reviews and growth initiatives
- Support contract negotiations pricing discussions and customer retention strategies
- Promote Opals products innovation and cross-divisional solutions while identifying continuous improvement opportunities

Specifically for this role we expect you will have;
- Demonstrated account management experience where you have grown share of wallet with an existing customer portfolio
- B2B solution selling experience ideally within the manufacturing industry
- The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and customer projects concurrently
- Established track record of hunting and closing new business building relationships and business with new customers
- Resilience plenty of energy and lots of enthusiasm
- Some travel required regionally and interstate
