About the role

As a Speech Pathologist you will provide high-quality assessment and intervention across the lifespan with a strong focus on paediatric services communication difficulties and dysphagia. Youll work within a multidisciplinary primary health care team and contribute to holistic community-led care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver speech pathology assessment diagnosis and therapy
• Provide paediatric services in clinics schools and community settings
• Conduct dysphagia screening and generalist rehabilitation
• Support early intervention and chronic condition management
• Participate in outreach services including remote travel
• Collaborate with GPs Aboriginal Health Workers and allied health staff
• Deliver client family and community education
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service improvement

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
• Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
• Strong commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel including remote outreach
