In this role youll:

Lead Sydney Metros Infrastructure and Operations Security team and act as the organisations Subject Matter Expert for protective security. Providing specialist advice across projects operations and corporate activities you will ensure security and resilience requirements are embedded throughout the planning design and delivery of Sydney Metro infrastructure.

You will work closely with project teams engineers architects and security specialists to review designs as-built assets and operational environments ensuring physical security measures are effectively incorporated into infrastructure outcomes. This includes influencing the design and placement of protective barriers perimeter treatments vehicle mitigation measures access controls structural protections and CPTED initiatives to reduce security risks and protect critical assets.

You will lead security assurance activities and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with critical infrastructure obligations legislation and security standards. With a strong focus on design review and assurance you will help ensure Sydney Metros infrastructure remains secure resilient and fit for purpose throughout its operational lifecycle.

About you

You are an experienced protective security professional with a background in security-in-design assurance and resilience within large-scale infrastructure or complex operational environments. You can assess security risks review design solutions and provide practical advice that strengthens the protection of critical assets.

You bring strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence project teams operators contractors and government agencies. You can build trusted relationships and translate complex security requirements into practical fit-for-purpose outcomes.

You have a sound understanding of protective security critical infrastructure resilience and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. Supported by relevant qualifications you apply this expertise to manage risk support compliance and deliver secure and resilient infrastructure outcomes. Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance.
