Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for multiple Site Engineers to join our team in Canberra to help lead the delivery of a long-term project.

In this role you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects and will be responsible for on-site technical support quality control and ensuring project execution aligns with plans and specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager in all aspects of project delivery from planning to completion.

• Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications quality standards and safety regulations.

• Prepare and maintain accurate site records including daily logs progress reports and material tracking.

• Interpret and implement engineering drawings blueprints and technical specifications on-site.

• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks identifying and resolving any discrepancies or potential issues.

• Liaise with subcontractors suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and efficient workflow.

• Assist in the preparation and review of work method statements and risk assessments.

• Support the surveying and setting out of construction elements.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of site safety plans and procedures.

• Participate in site meetings contributing technical expertise and providing updates on project progress.

To be successful you will need:

• To be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.

• To hold or be able to gain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry preferably within large-scale projects.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies processes and relevant building codes and regulations.

• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings schematics and technical specifications.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality assurance.

• Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g. AutoCAD Microsoft Office Suite).

• Valid drivers license and the ability to travel to various project sites as required.
