Hutcheon & Pearce is looking for a Senior Technical Training Instructor to help shape the next generation of technicians and industry professionals across our dealership network. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise with training and development supporting both our employees and customers through engaging high-quality learning experiences.
Working closely with our Technical Learning & Development team youll play a key role in building technical capability across the business through the delivery of product systems and technology training. Youll stay at the forefront of industry advancements while helping others build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Product and Technology Training Manager you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating technical training programs across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering product technology and technical training programs to internal teams and customers
- Facilitating John Deere certified training courses to dealership standards
- Supporting the development and rollout of tailored training programs to meet business needs
- Coordinating and scheduling technical training activities in consultation with the Learning & Development team
- Evaluating training effectiveness and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Maintaining training records and ensuring documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Staying current with new products systems and emerging technologies to ensure training content remains relevant
- Supporting product optimisation and technology adoption through TECSight Field Specialist activities when required
- Promoting a culture of safety learning and continuous development across the business
- Building strong relationships with technicians managers customers and key stakeholders
What Were Looking For:
Were looking for someone with strong technical expertise excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others learn and develop. Ideally youll have:
- Previous experience performing service repairs within agricultural heavy diesel construction automotive or related industries
- Strong knowledge of mechanical hydraulic and electrical systems
- The ability to confidently deliver training and engage a variety of audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
- Experience using diagnostic software and computer-based repair tools
- The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and locations
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain) and/or previous training experience
- A current drivers licence
Experience with John Deere equipment or agricultural machinery is highly regarded however we are also open to candidates from other heavy equipment automotive mining earthmoving or related industries.
