Senior Systems Admin Payroll Officer

Clerk Grade:9/10

Salary Range: $133348 - $146945 Superannuation

Employment Type: Full Time Ongoing

Location: Parramatta - Hybrid -office requirement 2-3 days a week as a minimum which could be subject to change based on applicable DCS workplace policies.

About the team
Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services.

We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology streamline processes replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100 agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.

What you will do

  • Provide expert functional support across SAP HCM modules including Personnel Administration (PA) Organisational Management (OM) Time Management (TM) Payroll and ESS/MSS.
  • Investigate analyse and resolve complex SAP HCM incidents defects and service requests ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
  • Perform root cause analysis of system and data issues working with technical teams and vendors to implement sustainable solutions.
  • Configure and maintain SAP HCM functionality in line with business requirements organisational policies and legislative obligations.
  • Lead and support testing activities for system enhancements upgrades and payroll changes ensuring successful deployment to production.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process improvements provide specialist advice and maintain functional documentation and knowledge articles.

About You

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong capabilities in:

  • Extensive experience supporting SAP HCM modules including Personnel Administration (PA) Organisational Management (OM) Time Management (TM) Payroll and ESS/MSS.
  • Strong experience in analysing troubleshooting and resolving complex SAP HCM incidents defects and data-related issues.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and collaborate with technical teams vendors and business stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
  • Experience in SAP HCM configuration testing and deployment activities including system enhancements upgrades and payroll-related changes.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on service delivery continuous improvement and customer outcomes.
