Are you an experienced Engineer looking to play a key role in delivering major capital projects from concept through to completion We are seeking an Engineer / Specialist Engineer Project Engineering to provide technical leadership and project engineering support ensuring quality engineering outcomes throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Reporting to the Principal Project Engineering you will work closely with project delivery teams engineering service providers operations maintenance procurement and key stakeholders to deliver safe fit-for-purpose and cost-effective engineering solutions.

About the Role

As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing engineering activities across capital and closure projects. You will act as the technical interface between project teams and external engineering service providers ensuring engineering deliverables meet project requirements safety standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop project-specific engineering design criteria and technical requirements.
• Prepare and manage engineering scopes of work for external engineering service providers (ESPs).
• Conduct technical evaluations of engineering proposals concepts and designs.
• Manage engineering service provider performance deliverables and contractual compliance.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between internal stakeholders and external engineering partners.
• Ensure engineering work complies with company standards regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
• Oversee the review and delivery of engineering drawings specifications and technical documentation.
• Facilitate value engineering initiatives to optimise project outcomes and capital efficiency.
• Coordinate and participate in multidisciplinary design reviews with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
• Resolve technical queries and provide engineering guidance throughout project execution.

What Youll Bring Engineering Expertise

• Strong understanding of engineering principles specifications drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience preparing and reviewing engineering scopes of work.
• Ability to evaluate technical solutions and support engineering decision-making.

Project Delivery Experience

• Sound understanding of project management principles and their application within engineering environments.
• Experience supporting engineering packages through study design execution and commissioning phases.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining project schedules.
