Building on over 40 years of successful majorproject delivery we are seeking an accomplished Senior Procurement Advisor to join our Pre Contracts team.
Working closely with Estimating Commercial Pre Contractsand Project teams you will lead procurement activities across tenders andproject pursuits ensuring the timely engagement of suppliers andsubcontractors while delivering high-quality procurement outcomes.
As a trusted procurement professional you will providemarket intelligence procurement expertise and commercial insight that directlyinfluences tender competitiveness and project success. Youll operate with ahigh degree of autonomy while building strong relationships across Bielbyssupply chain and supporting procurement improvement initiatives across thebusiness.
This role is ideal for an experienced procurementprofessional who enjoys working in a fast-paced tender environment and wants tomake a meaningful contribution to major infrastructure projects before theyenter construction.
What Youll Do
- Lead and coordinate procurement activities across Bielbys tender pipeline and project requirements.
- Develop procurement strategies and package plans in collaboration with Pre Contracts Estimating Commercial and Project teams.
- Manage end-to-end procurement packages including market engagement RFQs tender administration evaluation and recommendation.
- Manage EstimateOne and coordinate procurement activity nationally to maximise supplier and subcontractor participation.
- Maintain procurement schedules and proactively identify long-lead items supply constraints and market risks.
- Provide procurement expertise and market insights to support tender strategy and competitive project delivery.
- Analyse and level supplier and subcontractor quotations identifying scope gaps pricing risks and commercial differences.
- Support negotiations and contribute to commercially sound procurement recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors across Bielbys operating regions.
- Monitor market conditions supplier capability pricing trends and emerging supply chain risks.
- Maintain procurement systems registers schedules and reporting frameworks.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement systems processes and governance.
What Youll Bring
- Experience in procurement supply chain estimating support contracts administration or commercial roles within construction or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of subcontractor and supplier engagement processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing procurement packages across multiple concurrent tenders or projects.
- Commercial and analytical capability to assess quotations pricing and procurement risks.
- Experience undertaking tender evaluations supplier negotiations and market engagement activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Excel capability.
- Experience with EstimateOne or similar procurement platforms highly regarded.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Commerce Procurement Supply Chain Construction Management Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
- Professional procurement accreditation (CIPS AAPCM or equivalent) will be viewed favourably.
