The purpose of the Senior Planning & Activation Executive role is to manage the end-to-end delivery of media campaigns ensuring activity is executed accurately efficiently and aligned to client objectives. The Senior Planning & Activation Executive is responsible for campaign management financial administration media delivery and stakeholder management while identifying opportunities to optimise performance and drive strong client outcomes.
A Senior Planning & Activation Executive is expected to work independently across campaign implementation and financial processes whilst providing guidance and support to Coordinators. The role also plays an important part in developing strong relationships with media partners clients and internal teams.
- Reconcile campaign delivery and ensure final delivered plans accurately reflect billings.
- Check proformas during invoicing periods and action any required changes in a timely manner.
- Attend to account queries promptly and maintain zero outstanding account queries on a weekly basis.
- Maintain accurate budget tracking and campaign spend management.
- Ensure all campaign finance changes are accurately reflected across media plans and systems.
- Complete final buy documentation and enter rates into trading sheets following campaign bookings.
- Identify and communicate any savings opportunities that can be reinvested or returned to clients.
- Assist Coordinators with workload management prioritisation and delivery expectations.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure Coordinators have the tools and information required to perform their roles effectively.
- Act as a positive role model by demonstrating best practice campaign management and stakeholder communication.
- Support the ongoing development of Coordinators through coaching feedback and knowledge sharing.
- Motivate and inspire team members through enthusiasm creativity and a collaborative approach.
- 1.5-3 years experience within a media agency or related environment.
- Preferably a university degree or higher education qualification.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of the Australian media landscape.
- Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office platforms including Word PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience using the following industry platforms and tools:
- BMD
- eTAM
- Roy Morgan
- EMMA
- eRAM
- Nielsen Digital / Answers
- Sizmek and/or DCM
- MOVE
- AQX Fusion
- Develops strong professional relationships with media partners clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintains exceptional attention to detail across all aspects of campaign management.
- Demonstrates confident and engaging communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Curious proactive and committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- Strong planning project management and time management capabilities.
- Takes ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality work and client outcomes.
