About the Role
As a member of DSCs Workforce Planning team the Senior Officer Workforce Planning works collaboratively with staff across the College and Schools to drive and support casual workforce planning and the casual academic lifecycle timesheet approvals recruitment and onboarding and works closely with School Executive and academic leaders. This position will be accountable for developing efficient and streamlined processes and implementing systems and protocols that are consistent with the Universitys policies and procedures.

The incumbent will contribute to high quality service provision as well as cultural and work practice changes that support the Colleges and Universitys strategic directions. The Senior Officer Workforce Planning acts as an escalation point in the team for junior staff members and is able to identify when to escalate issues to the Senior Coordinator Workforce Planning.

To be successful in this position youll have:

  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement and proven ability to interpret and apply policies procedures and systems consistently provide advice and to drive creative solutions through to implementation within the immediate work area.

  • Proven ability to work independently use initiative and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in an agile and demanding environment with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.

  • Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal relationship building and communication skills.

  • A high order of analytical and problem-solving skills and the demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative and creative solutions.

  • Demonstrated digital literacy with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
