The Role

As an experienced Senior MPU Operator youll be hands on with our mobile mixing units by safely loading transporting and pumping to deliver precise blasting outcomes. Youll work closely with the rest of the crew or operate sole charge on adhoc jobs to keep operations on track using advanced equipment in a safety-first environment.

What Youll Do

• Operating MPU trucks safely to manufacture and deliver bulk explosives to blast holes
• Track and maintain accurate records and proactively report any issues to the Shift Supervisor
• Carry out pre-start checks and support preventative maintenance on equipment
• Following all safety environmental and compliance requirements
• Support the wider team to achieve daily targets

What Youll Need

Must-haves:

• Right to work in Australia without restriction
• Previous and proven experience operating MPU/MMU or similar equipment in an open cut mining environment
• Statement of Attainment for MPU Operating e.g. RIIBLA203E Conduct Mobile Mixing of Explosives RIIBLA201E - Support Shotfiring Operations and RIIBLA205E - Store Handle & Transport Explosives
• Heavy Rigid (or greater) drivers licence
• Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
• QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card (or ability to obtain)
• Able to pass pre-employment checks including medical drug and alcohol and background checks

Nice to Have:

• Relevant RII to operate a Heavy Rigid Vehicle RIIVEH307F
