  • Salary relative to experience and ranges from $178315 to $ 197753 p.a. super

Heritage NSW is seeking a Senior Manager Heritage Programs for 3 months to lead the delivery of State heritage programs at Heritage NSW. You will work closely with the Heritage Council of NSW to deliver well researched and timely recommendations in relation to State Heritage Register listings. You will work closely with NSW Government agencies to assist them manage their heritage assets.

By partnering with community stakeholders owners state agencies other key stakeholders and government jurisdictions the role works to recognise and conserve our States heritage.

About you

To be successful for this role you will have: -

  • Extensive experience in leadership roles with the ability to lead a complex regulatory function
  • Proven experience managing high-profile complex or sensitive matters and balancing competing stakeholder community and government priorities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills with the ability to provide expert advice on heritage policy assessment and conservation outcomes.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement negotiation and influencing skills with a track record of building productive relationships across government industry community and with the Aboriginal community.
  • Experience as a collaborative and values-driven leader with experience developing high-performing teams driving service improvements and delivering results in a complex operating environment
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in heritage archaeological site conservation or relevant field.

Essential Requirements

  • Drivers Licence and ability to travel
