The Department of Nursing within UWAs School of Health and Clinical Sciences delivers innovative undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs designed to prepare graduates for contemporary healthcare environments. These programs have been developed in close collaboration with industry partners and respond directly to the growing demand for highly skilled nurses across metropolitan regional rural and remote communities.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the design delivery and continuous improvement of high-quality nursing education across undergraduate and postgraduate programs creating engaging learning experiences that support student success.
  • Drive curriculum development unit coordination assessment innovation and accreditation activities while leveraging contemporary educational technologies and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Provide academic leadership through student mentorship professional engagement university service and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to enhance nursing education outcomes.

About you

  • PhD in Nursing or a relevant discipline or equivalent advanced professional qualifications clinical experience and professional standing in Nursing.
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) with ongoing membership of a relevant professional association.
  • Demonstrated excellence in tertiary teaching including curriculum development assessment design unit coordination and the delivery of innovative student-centred learning experiences.
  • Strong understanding of course accreditation requirements curriculum review processes and the integration of scholarship clinical practice and teaching excellence.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with students colleagues and external stakeholders contributing to an inclusive collaborative and high-performing academic environment.
