Permanent Full-Time 35 hours 5 days/week $116341.98 to $127481.06 Super

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Head of Governance the rolesits within the Governance Legal and Procurement Department of Liverpool CityCouncil and is part of the Governance Team.
The role will see you providing governancesupport and assisting the Head of Governance on a range of complex and routinegovernance matters.
Some of your duties will include researching anddeveloping policy on corporate governance providing independent probityreviews of procurement processes managing directing and handling a diverseand complex range of complaints management activities and determiningapplications for the release of documents under the Government Information(Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA).

ABOUT YOU:
Our desired candidate will be experienced incommunicating consulting and liaising effectively with a range of stakeholdersand have demonstrated experience in drafting reports policies andcorrespondence and interpreting and apply legislation across a broad range ofgovernance matters.

  • To be successful in this role you must have demonstrated experience in governance with experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
  1. Policy development implementation and monitoring
  2. GIPA and/or Privacy
  3. Statutory Compliance and/or Probity
  4. Investigations and Complaints Handling
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety practices the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity ethical practice and multi-cultural diversity
