As a Senior Credit Manageryoullplayan important rolein helping Westpac make well-informed credit decisions for commercial banking customers across independently from relationship management teams bringing clear judgement commercialthinkingand a strong understanding of credit risk to each transaction.
Youllreview and approve credit applications within your delegated authority support more complex transactions that require higher-level approval and help ensure decisions arewell researched balanced and aligned to Westpacs credit standards riskappetiteand regulatory keep a close eye on portfolio qualityprovidepractical credit risk guidance to business and support teams and help senior stakeholders stay informed about material risks emergingissuesand key transactions.
Work type and location:Flexible permanent full-time role based in NSW.
What do I need
Youllbring sound credit judgement strong commercialthinkingand the confidence to make balanced decisions in a fast-paced banking environment.
- Strong experience assessing and approving commercial credit transactions.
- A good understanding of credit risk underwriting standards riskappetiteand regulatory expectations.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to balance customer needs businessoutcomesand sound risk management.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret financial information andidentifyemerging risks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills including the ability toprovidepractical advice and explain credit decisions to stakeholders.
