This role is responsible for designing developing and supporting high-performance applications using C Java and Spring Boot technologies. The successful candidate will build scalable REST APIs and Microservices contribute to strategic engineering initiatives and provide technical expertise across Telstras network and software platforms.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain efficient and reliable C applications.
Develop Java & Spring Boot Microservices.
Build and enhance RESTful APIs.
Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Test deploy and support new and existing applications.
Extend and maintain existing software modules.
Collaborate with engineers architects and stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
Contribute technical expertise to new and ongoing strategic initiatives.
Ensure delivery of high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.
Essential Skills
10 years of C development experience (C14 or above).
Strong understanding of C internals algorithms and data structures.
Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Proven experience building REST APIs and Microservices.
Strong Linux/Unix experience including Bash scripting.
Proficiency in Python development.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills
Telecommunications or Networking industry experience.
Experience with Golang or other modern programming languages.
Exposure to large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native environments.
Ideal Candidate
A highly experienced software engineer with deep expertise in C strong Java/Spring Boot Microservices development capability and a proven track record of building scalable reliable and high-performing software solutions. Candidates with Telecom or Networking domain experience will be highly regarded
