Position : Senior Business Analyst
Location : Sydney/Melbourne
Contract: 12 Months with possibility of extension
Essential Functions Of The Job
The Senior Business Analyst should have experience on Sanctions (SME) and AML/CTF regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies. The Business Analyst is Subject Matter Expert who will be responsible for supporting and providing guidance to the payment services team.
Qualifications Basic
Bachelors degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution. At least 10 years of experience with Information Technology.
Required Skills and Responsibilities
10-15 years of experience in Banking/Financial Domain.
Act as point of contact for all payment sanctions screening globally; whilst providing technical input when required
Develop communicate and implement strategy standards control global systems and policies in relations to sanctions for businesses globally.
Provide support to the Global sanctions payments oversight manager to maintain oversight of the sanctions screening and the change order book globally.
Knowledge of AML Counter terrorist financing or Sanctions issues across the financial services
Professional experience in a sanctions or AML system role.
Sanctions Trade and AML payments SME with in depth knowledge of SWIFT
Able to interact at a senior level both internally and externally
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Ability to provide creative solutions to complex issues
Thorough understanding of Sanctions (SME) and AML/CTF regulatory requirements Sanctions AML & CTF landscape and internal compliance policies relating to your role and apply to the business.
Thorough understanding of Trade SWIFT and NPP payment platforms.
Understand and carry out tasks using techniques documented in the Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs).
Ability to investigate and form determinations on transaction-based activities in accordance with agreed Service level Agreements (SLAs) as per Customer Value Proposition (CVP).
Identify potential Sanctions risks or other risk related concerns that may not be ordinarily evident within an IMT or domestic transfer.
Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of work completed by analysts; identify and escalate risks to line manager and provide constructive feedback as required.
