The firm provides high-quality strategic and transaction advice across mergers and acquisitions and other complex corporate situations. The Opportunity

An opportunity is available for a Senior Associate or Vice President to join the Sydney team with a focus on General Industrials and Financial Sponsors.

Working closely with senior bankers the successful candidate will play a central role in originating and executing buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions and strategic advisory mandates.

This is a hands-on position offering significant responsibility across the full transaction lifecycle including:

  • Managing the day-to-day execution of M&A transactions

  • Preparing financial models valuation analysis and transaction materials

  • Coordinating due diligence transaction documentation and broader deal processes

  • Managing relationships with clients private equity firms and other advisers

  • Supervising reviewing and developing junior team members

  • Supporting senior bankers with sector coverage idea generation and business development

  • Contributing to the continued growth of the General Industrials and Sponsors franchise

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Approximately five to eight years relevant experience within investment banking corporate advisory or a leading Big Four corporate finance team

  • Strong M&A transaction experience including involvement across the full deal process

  • Excellent financial modelling valuation and analytical capabilities

  • Exposure to General Industrials private equity sponsors or broader generalist coverage

  • The ability to manage multiple workstreams and take ownership of transaction execution

  • Strong communication presentation and client-management skills

  • Experience supervising and mentoring analysts and associates

  • A collaborative commercially minded and team-oriented approach
