Job Summary
Collaborative design studio creating thoughtful architecture and interiors require a Senior Architect for a 2IC permanent role.
This position is intended to form an important part of the studios long-term leadership structure in this collaborative friendly and fun studio with no overtime required ensuring an excellent work/life balance.
For the right person there is the opportunity for the role to develop over time towards Studio Lead / Principal with increasing responsibility for studio delivery project performance resourcing mentoring and broader practice operations.
Registered Architect with approximately 8 years post-graduate experience.
Reporting to the Director the ability to provide day-to-day technical project delivery and mentoring support to Architects
Strong residential architecture experience ideally including high-end residential and interiors with hospitality and boutique commercial projects experience a plus.
Experience leading selected architectural and interior design projects through multiple phases from feasibility concept design approvals and documentation through to construction.
Strong technical knowledge of construction detailing documentation and relevant regulatory requirements
Understanding of project scope programmes fees and resourcing.
Experience with technical documentation construction and project delivery matters.
Contribute to studio operations project resourcing quality assurance mentoring and the ongoing development of studio standards and systems.
Resolve project matters with an appropriate level of independence.
Maintain strong relationships with clients consultants and builders.
Coordinate documentation specifications schedules and consultant inputs.
Ensure relevant codes standards and regulatory requirements are appropriately addressed.
Undertake tendering contract administration and site inspections where required.
Resolve complex technical documentation and construction matters.
High level of independence.
Provide clear and constructive guidance and be supportive of others.
Proficiency in Revit architectural design and documentation software.
This is a permanent role with salary commensurate with experience and commencing in 2 to 4 weeks.
