About the Role

BDO Perth is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our growing Forensic Services team. Working alongside experienced forensic specialists youll be involved in a range of forensic accounting investigations disputes financial crime and misconduct engagements across public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of forensic accounting investigation and dispute engagements.

  • Collect review and analyse financial and non-financial data.

  • Identify anomalies trends risks and potential misconduct through detailed analysis.

  • Prepare working papers reports chronologies data summaries and client deliverables.

  • Conduct research into fraud financial crime misconduct and regulatory matters.

  • Support engagement planning information gathering testing and reporting activities.

  • Assist with the preparation of proposals and scoping documents.

  • Build strong client relationships through timely and professional service delivery.

  • Contribute to team initiatives and support junior team members where required.

  • Undertake research and analytical work to collect collate and present evidence and findings to stakeholders tribunals and courts where required.

Desirable Technical and education requirements:

  • 35 years relevant experience in Forensic Accounting Audit Insolvency Risk Advisory or a related field.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting Commerce Finance Economics Law or a related discipline.

  • CA or CPA qualified (or working towards completion).

  • Certificate III in Investigative Services.

  • Certificate IV in Government (Investigation).

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and/or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) are highly regarded.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information.

  • Demonstrated experience assisting in the preparation of high-quality reports and client deliverables.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail with advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.

  • High level of integrity professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
