Job Summary

  • Employment Type: Full Time (35 hours per week)
  • Duration: Fixed Term until March 2028
  • Remuneration: Level 7 from $118k 17% superannuation and leave loading
  • Location: Kensington NSW (Hybrid Working Arrangements)

Why your role matters

The Senior Administrative Officer provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Division of Education and Student Experience contributing to strategic initiatives continuous improvement and the delivery of high-quality services to students and staff. The role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Reporting to the Operations Manager the position supports the effective day-to-day functioning of the divisional office.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Work with the Director of Operations and Divisional Office team to coordinategeneraladministration across Division of Education and Student Experience delivering an efficient support service.
  • Manage and direct workflows and governance requirements within the administrative team providing guidance and support across the broader Divisional Operational teams.
  • Developimplementand maintainsystems and procedures to ensure a consistent approach forgeneraladministration and support including document and records management to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice and technical knowledge regarding administrative services to key stakeholders.

About You:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education training and experience.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise influence and guide staff.
  • Highly advanced interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
  • Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to plan organise and co-ordinate projectsand tasks.
  • Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to understand and communicate financial information and monitor budgets.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSWs aims objectives and values in action together with relevant policies and guidelines.
