About this opportunity:
ICC Sydney is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our Event Security team as a Casual Security Supervisor Events. This role is perfect for someone passionate about leading high-performing teams and ensuring seamless safe and efficient event operations.
As a Casual Security Supervisor Events youll take the lead in the delivery of event security operations across a diverse portfolio of exhibitions concerts conferences and corporate events. Working closely with the broader Security and Events teams you will:
- Lead and supervise security teams during events providing clear direction support and operational oversight.
- Coordinate the deployment of security resources to ensure effective coverage and service delivery.
- Monitor event operations and proactively manage security risks incidents and emerging issues.
- Respond to emergencies incidents and first aid situations in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct venue inspections and operational briefings to support event safety and security.
- Liaise with clients event organisers contractors emergency services and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth event operations.
- Maintain accurate reports and documentation relating to incidents security activities and event outcomes.
- Promote a culture of teamwork professionalism customer service and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience:
This role is ideal for an experienced security professional looking to take the next step into a supervisory position or further develop their leadership experience within a dynamic event security environment. As a Casual Security Supervisor you will bring:
- Proven leadership capability with strong decision-making skills and a focus on operational outcomes.
- The ability to remain calm professional and adaptable in fast-paced high-pressure event environments.
- Confidence in leading motivating and coordinating security teams while ensuring compliance with security procedures and site requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a practical hands-on approach to problem-solving and incident management.
- A genuine commitment to safety security customer service and delivering exceptional event experiences.
- A positive attitude that contributes to a supportive collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on safety outcomes client satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to conduct team briefings prepare incident reports and interact professionally with clients patrons and stakeholders.
- Resilience composure and sound judgment when managing incidents or challenging situations.
- The ability to lead by example maintain high professional standards and foster accountability within the team.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated security professional to gain valuable supervisory experience while working across a diverse range of world-class events.
- 24 years of leadership experience in security ideally in roles such as Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Experience in event security crowd control or venue management is highly regarded.
- Valid working rights in Australia.
- You must be 18 years or over
In addition you will also hold the following licences:
- NSW Security Licence 1A - Mandatory
- First Aid Qualification (HLTAID011 Provide First Aid) - Mandatory
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Certificate Mandatory
