Secondary Science Teacher

Great Southern Grammar is growing its 2027 Secondary teaching team and invites applications from excellent teachers in Science.

We are looking for teachers with strong subject knowledge highexpectationsand the ability to help young people connect rigorous learning with purpose. Applicants should possess strong practical inquiry and curriculum capability and experience for ATAR and/or General courses is highly regarded.

You will plan and deliver challenging inclusive learning; use assessment and feedback to improve progress; create a safe and purposeful classroom; and contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of theSchool. You will collaborate on curriculummoderationand student support and build constructive partnerships with students and families.

• Design well-sequenced learning that develops knowledge skillscuriosityand confidence.
• Use assessment and feedback purposefully and support students with varied learning needs and aspirations.
• Create a saferespectfuland academically purposeful classroom culture.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum moderation studentsupportand professional practice.
• Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the Secondary School and the wider GSG community.

• Appropriate teaching qualifications and current or provisional TRBWA registration or eligibility to obtain registration before commencement.
• Strong knowledge of the Western Australian curriculum and where relevant WACE course requirementsassessmentand moderation.
• The ability to plan teachassessand refine engaging programs that support diverse learners and high achievement.
• A commitment to student wellbeing inclusion academicgrowthand safe respectful learning environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a professional approach to colleagues studentsfamiliesand the wider community.
• A collaborative reflective and flexible approach with a clear commitment to child safety and the values of theSchool.
• A Working with Children Check satisfactory National Police History Check valid First Aid certification and mandatory-reporting training or capacity to satisfy these requirements before commencement.
