Role Description:
The SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) Lead is responsible for designing implementing rolling out and supporting SAP Transportation Management solutions across inbound outbound intercompany and third-party logistics processes. The role focuses on enabling optimized transportation planning freight execution carrier collaboration freight cost management settlement integration analytics and operational visibility. The TM Lead works closely with logistics supply chain procurement sales warehouse finance and transportation stakeholders to deliver scalable integrated and business-aligned SAP TM solutions across implementation rollout and support phases.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management implementations rollouts enhancements and support engagements
Facilitate business workshops and gather requirements across transportation planning freight execution carrier management freight costing settlement and logistics visibility processes
Design and configure SAP TM functionality including:

• Transportation Network and Location Master Data
• Freight Units Freight Orders and Freight Bookings
• Transportation Planning and Optimizer Scenarios
• Carrier Selection Tendering and Collaboration
• Charge Calculation Freight Agreements and Rate Management
• Freight Settlement and Integration with Finance
• Transportation Execution Event Management and Tracking
• Inbound Outbound Intercompany and Stock Transport Scenarios
• Embedded TM and Decentralized TM Deployment Models

Define global template processes and support localization requirements for transportation operations
Drive solution blueprinting fit-gap analysis process harmonization and design validation activities
Ensure seamless integration with SD MM EWM LE FICO GTS IBP SAP Business Network for Logistics and third-party logistics platforms
Support master data setup data migration validation and cutover activities for carriers lanes rates zones schedules and open freight documents
Lead test planning and execution including SIT UAT regression testing defect triage and business sign-off
Provide functional support during go-live hyper care stabilization and continuous improvement phases
Coordinate with technical integration data security and business teams for RICEFW objects Fiori enablement interfaces forms and reporting needs
Drive process optimization automation standardization and adoption of SAP S/4HANA TM innovations across transportation operations

Technical Expertise Requirements:
Strong experience in SAP Transportation Management in ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments
Proven experience in full-cycle implementations rollouts upgrades or transformation programs
Deep expertise in:

• Transportation Planning and Freight Execution
• Freight Unit Building Freight Order Management and Freight Bookings
• Carrier Selection Tendering and Collaboration
• Charge Calculation Freight Agreements and Rate Management
• Freight Settlement Accruals and Finance Integration
• Transportation Network Zones Lanes Schedules and Equipment Master Data
• Embedded TM Basic Shipping and Advanced Shipping scenarios in S/4HANA

Strong understanding of logistics execution distribution warehouse integration carrier operations and transportation cost management
Hands-on configuration experience across SAP TM planning execution settlement and integration areas
Strong integration knowledge with SD MM EWM LE FICO GTS IBP SAP Business Network for Logistics and third-party carrier platforms
Experience with SAP Fiori applications S/4HANA innovations and transportation analytics
Experience with master data migration open freight document migration cutover planning and operational readiness
Ability to lead business workshops manage stakeholders and translate logistics requirements into SAP TM solutions
Strong analytical documentation communication and problem-solving skills

Lead and mentor SAP TM functional consultants across onsite and offshore delivery teams
Own solution governance for transportation planning execution freight costing settlement and logistics visibility processes
Drive design authority reviews and ensure alignment with global template and clean-core standards
Manage risks issues dependencies and decision logs for the TM workstream
Support PMO and program leadership with workstream status planning inputs scope management and delivery governance
Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology project standards documentation quality and delivery timelines

Additional:
Experience with SAP Business Network for Logistics and carrier collaboration scenarios
Exposure to SAP Event Management Logistics Business Network or real-time transportation visibility platforms
Experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Yard Logistics or Advanced ATP
Knowledge of route optimization transportation planning optimizer and advanced planning strategies
Experience with parcel ocean rail road intermodal or bulk transportation scenarios
Exposure to Embedded Analytics SAC and operational dashboards for logistics and transportation KPIs
SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management certification
Experience in manufacturing consumer products retail utilities logistics transportation or asset-intensive industries
Familiarity with Agile SAP Activate and large-scale global transformation programs
