Safety Lead
Job Summary
The Safety Lead will collaborate with our site operations teams to ensure compliance with HSE requirements at our Canning Vale Can Manufacturing site. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments assisting with HSE incident investigations ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing safety training programs.
- Partner with leaders to drive accountability ownership and engagement in health safety and environmental outcomes across the site
- Provide expert HSE guidance coaching and mentoring to build capability and promote best practice across teams
- Lead risk management activities incident investigations and corrective actions to minimise risk and improve performance
- Monitor and support compliance with WHS legislation environmental requirements and company standards identifying opportunities for improvement
- Facilitate audits inspections and governance activities while ensuring HSE plans and initiatives remain on track and deliver expected outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement through effective communication education and change initiatives that strengthen safety culture and embed HSE excellence
- Diploma or Degree in Work Health & Safety Environmental Management or a related discipline
- ICAM (or equivalent) incident investigation qualification and/or Lead Auditor certification
- 3-5 years experience in HSE roles within manufacturing industrial or other high-risk operational environments
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation regulatory requirements and injury management frameworks with the ability to ensure compliance and drive best practice
- Proven ability to implement and continuously improve safety systems risk management processes and incident investigation practices
- Hands-on and proactive approach with strong communication stakeholder engagement coaching and problem-solving skills
