Rugby Coach

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Rugby Coach to join our team inspiring and developing young athletes in Years 7-12. This is a full-time fixed-term contract role leading on-field performance and fostering a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute structured training sessions focused on skill acquisition tactical understanding and physical conditioning.
• Formulate game plans and provide constructive individual feedback to support player growth.
• Lead the team during weekend fixtures managing selections rotations and sideline conduct.
• Model and enforce high standards of sportsmanship discipline and respect on and off the field.
• Ensure comprehensive player safety welfare and adherence to Rugby Australia safety protocols.
• Maintain compliance with the schools Child Safety Policy Code of Conduct and SmartRugby certification.
• Coordinate effectively with the Director of Rugby coaching staff and parents.

What Youll Bring

• Rugby Australia Coaching Accreditation (Level 1 or 2 preferred).
• Current SmartRugby Certification Working With Children Check (WWCC) First Aid and CPR certifications are essential.
• Demonstrated experience coaching youth schoolboy or club rugby.
• Deep understanding of current Rugby Australia laws safety standards and modern coaching methodologies.
• Strong communication leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and mentor young athletes.
• Reliability punctuality and excellent organizational skills.

Remuneration

An annual package of $80000 will be offered for this fixed-term full-time position.
