Juniper Gerdewoonem is a small residential home featuring 35 rooms with individualised support through person-centered care approach. The facility has access to various communal areas including multiple dining rooms a spacious central activity room and cozy lounge areas. The home has beautifully landscaped courtyards gardens and a fire pit. Gerdewoonem also collaborates with elders and local community members to foster a strong connection to culture and family.
As a Registered Nurse with Juniper you will be responsible for assessing residents needs in conjunction with other healthcare professionals and for the planning implementation and evaluation of residents care plans. Demonstrated experience in the mentoring and supervision of care staff and the awareness of AN-ACC required assessments is needed. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual passionate about this vocation to join the team. The ideal candidate should be available to work unplanned leave.
This is a permanent Full-time contract working 75 hours a fortnight on a rotating roster.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and appropriate response to changes in customer condition in consultation with the broader healthcare team
- Develop implement and evaluate plans of care in partnership with customers and their loved ones
- Liaise with appropriate healthcare professionals to deliver quality care to customers
- Ensure full compliance with organizational professional and aged care standards
- AHPRA Registration
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting
- Strong planning and coordination skills in care delivery
- Ability to guide staff in wound and diabetes care
- Sound understanding of medication systems
- Excellent communication problem-solving interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Hourly base rate starting from $46.48 per hour
- Multiple shifts available AM PM and nights
