Quantity Surveyor (Contract)
Job Summary
A nationally recognised property and infrastructure advisory consultancy is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a contract opportunity within its property team.
Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial education health government and mixed-use developments youll join an integrated advisory environment alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors Project Managers and property professionals.
This is an opportunity to step into an established team contribute immediately across active projects and gain exposure to a leading Australian consultancy without the commitment of a permanent move.
This role is suited to a consultancy-side Quantity Surveyor who can confidently step into active projects and support the team across both pre-contract and post-contract services.
Youll provide cost management support across the project lifecycle working on cost planning procurement progress claims variations and commercial reporting while liaising directly with clients consultants and contractors.
As a contract member of the team youll be trusted to manage your own workload and contribute from the outset while having the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team around you.
Prepare cost plans estimates and feasibility studies across property projects
Support procurement tendering and tender analysis
Prepare cost reports and provide ongoing commercial advice
Assess progress claims variations and project costs during construction
Support contract administration and final account activities
Monitor project budgets risks and commercial outcomes
Liaise with clients consultants and contractors throughout project delivery
Work alongside Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers across active projects
Previous Quantity Surveying experience within a cost consultancy environment
Strong understanding of pre-contract and post-contract cost management
Experience across property projects such as commercial education health government or mixed-use developments
Strong cost planning reporting and commercial capability
Confident client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to step into active projects and work with a high level of autonomy
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
