Our engineering apprenticeship is a four-year program combining theory training with our RTO partners in-house training courses and practical On-the-job training in our Engineering businesses. Youll rotate through relevant business areas applicable to the relevant trade receiving hands-on training on Qantas Group aircraft.  

Perth trade opportunities will be Avionics only.  Typically your role will include; 

Avionics Apprentice - maintains inspects and undertakes fault diagnostics of electrical instrument and radio systems and accessories on the aircraft. These include power generation and distribution systems ignition and engine monitoring systems autopilot and integrated flight systems environmental control systems radar and communication systems and in-flight entertainment 

Youll have  

• A demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn a hands-on trade 
• Good manual dexterity with the ability to use a range of hand tools 
• A proactive attitude toward learning and applying safe work practices 
• A high level of drive and enthusiasm to build a career in aviation  
• Exceptional teamwork 
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written 
• Australian Citizenship or hold Australian Permanent Residency Status 
• Ability to work all shift patterns 
• Must be available to start work from early 2027
