Job Summary

12 Month Contract - Hybrid from our Alexandria NSW office.

As Purchasing Officer youll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly through smart purchasing and planning decisions. Working closely with our Sourcing team youll support category roadmaps and identify opportunities to continuously improve how we operate.

Youll own end-to-end purchasing and planning across Fresh Produce and Ready-to-Heat categories balancing customer demand supplier capability and operational requirements.

Success in this role means making timely commercially sound purchasing decisions that deliver strong service outcomes control costs and minimise waste.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end purchasing planning and PO execution across allocated categories

  • Translate demand requirements into accurate and timely ordering decisions across FCs

  • Partner closely with Sourcing to align supplier capability availability and commercial outcomes

  • Monitor and manage inventory service levels and waste performance

  • Drive ordering discipline cadence and continuous improvement

  • Identify risks and implement proactive supply and inventory actions

  • High availability with disciplined inventory

  • Reduced waste and cost leakage

  • Strong supplier alignment and execution

  • Clear ownership of purchasing outcomes end-to-end

Youll bring:

  • 3 years experience in purchasing or planning

  • Experience in fresh produce ready-to-heat or other perishable / short shelf-life categories highly regarded

  • Strong commercial judgement balancing cost availability and waste

  • Confident stakeholder management across suppliers and internal teams

  • Data-driven with strong attention to detail
