Heritage NSW is seeking a proactive and community-mindedProject Officer to help deliver the NSW Governments Blue Plaques program. The program shares the fascinating stories of underrepresented people and events that have helped shape NSWs heritage.

In this role youll support the design and delivery of community engagement activities that amplify the stories behind the plaques as well as contribute to the programs administration. Youll work closely with the project team stakeholders and community members to ensure the program remains inclusive relevant and impactful.

About you

The successful candidate will have experience working in contested spaces and on complex community engagement projects. You will be confident in prioritising your work and delivering to a high standard. You work collaboratively and enjoy building good relationships with your colleagues.

Knowledge and experience

• Project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time on budget and to quality standards and demonstrated time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume office including proven capacity to support senior management in the management of high-profile issues and projects.

DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
