• Project Officer Biodiversity Offsets Branch (Environment Officer Class 7)
• 1 X Ongoing full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity
• 1 x Temporary Full-time (35 hours per week) until 28 April 2028
• Location Parramatta other NSW locations may be considered subject to negotiation. Hybrid working arrangements are supported.
• Salary relative to experience and ranges from $112375 to $124158 super

Our Biodiversity Offsets Branch is currently seeking to appoint Project Officers in the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) team. This is an exciting time to join the team as we implement the NSW governments recommendations after reviewing the BAM. We are a supportive collaborative and dedicated team with flexible working develop and implement biodiversity programs that support the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme.

The role contributes to developing operational policies to support BOS stakeholders supporting local government training programs and assisting the development of tools and resources for accredited assessors.

About You

You are a highly organised and self-motivated professional who thrives in a high-volume fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines. You can work autonomously to deliver quality outcomes effectively manage multiple projects and consistently meet agreed workplan objectives.

You demonstrate strong accountability for the accuracy integrity and quality of your work providing sound advice and delivering projects on time and within budget. Your attention to detail problem-solving skills and ability to maintain high standards under pressure enable you to contribute effectively to organisational and program objectives.

Essential requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in economics environmental education science communications environmental management environmental science or equivalent.
• Current Drivers License
• Demonstrated understanding of the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM)

Desirable requirements

• BAM Assessor accreditation

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
