Project Engineer

As a part of the Network Delivery Group you will undertake a variety of works associated with the design and construction of Evoenergys Electrical Distribution Network. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of maintaining a future focused electricity network for the ACT.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare detailed project briefs estimates and associated documentation for assigned projects ensuring that the customers requirements and Evoenergys business objectives are met.
• Perform calculations and assessments for various design criteria for overhead line assets including structures/poles switchgear transformers etc. and ground assets including distribution substations/kiosks switching stations and related infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and advice to delivery teams as required.
• Other duties within the employees skill competence and training.

Our ideal candidate:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) however an Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering is acceptable as a minimum.
• Demonstrated experience strong knowledge and understanding in regard to customer and network-initiated electricity distribution works including overhead lines and ground assets and the related infrastructures.
• Established understanding and proven experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including external contractors consultants and in-house delivery teams.
• Demonstrated experience strong knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment relating to the electricity distribution industry.
