Project Engineer $1.7B Defence Infrastructure Project
Relocation Support Available

Build infrastructure that will support Australias Defence capability for the next 30 years.

The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV) a 50/50 partnership between CPB Contractors and Downer is delivering a landmark $1.7 billion Defence infrastructure program across regional New South Wales.

Spanning RAAF Base Wagga Blamey Barracks Kapooka and Albury Wodonga Military Area this transformational project will create world-class facilities and critical infrastructure that will support Defence operations for generations to come.

As project momentum continues to build were seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at RAAF Base Wagga and help deliver one of Australias most significant Defence infrastructure programs.

This is more than a Project Engineer role.

Its an opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a nationally significant project while building your career with two of Australias leading construction organisations.

Youll be part of a collaborative and high-performing team working across a diverse portfolio of building and infrastructure works including:

New accommodation facilities

Training and education facilities

Messing facilities

Building refurbishments and upgrades

Civil and infrastructure improvements

Commissioning and handover activities

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager youll contribute to the successful delivery of construction activities from planning through to completion.

Working closely with site teams subcontractors consultants and project stakeholders youll help ensure works are delivered safely efficiently on schedule and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and managing assigned work packages
  • Planning and programming construction activities
  • Reviewing drawings specifications and construction methodologies
  • Monitoring project progress productivity costs and quality outcomes
  • Managing subcontractor performance and site interfaces
  • Resolving engineering and technical challenges
  • Supporting project reporting and documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with project standards and contractual requirements
  • Promoting and contributing to a strong Zero Harm culture
About You

Were looking for motivated Project Engineers who thrive in dynamic project environments and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver outstanding outcomes.

Youll ideally bring:

  • Degree qualification in Engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience within building infrastructure or major construction projects
  • Experience delivering commercial residential education healthcare accommodation Defence or institutional projects
  • Exposure to areas such as fitout facades piling precast roofing services infrastructure or commissioning works
  • Strong understanding of project delivery planning and subcontractor management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
