The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a casual Program Facilitator LOTE to facilitate and support engaging learning and social programs that connect diverse audiences including speakers and students of languages other than English (Italian) with the NGV Collection and exhibitions.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

You will be responsible for facilitating and supporting engaging tours talks and classes that connect art language culture and history through works in the NGV Collection and exhibitions. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a welcoming environment and exceptional customer service for NGV visitors.
  • Contributing to improvements in service delivery through ongoing evaluation of programs and practice and active engagement in own professional learning.
  • Ensuring that information is created and managed according to the Information Management policy and procedures including compliance with privacy and data security requirements.

To be successful you will have proficiency in Italian coupled with demonstrated experience in facilitating and supporting engaging learning and social programs including tours and talks for speakers or students of languages other than English in an education setting or cultural organisation.

Teaching qualifications and experience or training and experience in cultural tourism is highly desirable.

You have a current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one.
