About the role

The Digital Division is accountable to operate maintain and deliver digital capabilities for all of AEMO to ensure we fulfill our obligations across all jurisdictions and markets in which we operate. This includes strategic technology foresight and plans delivery of digital change operation of critical infrastructure key internal stakeholder engagement as well as operation of all of AEMOs IT applications and services. The WEM Operations Solutions team is accountable for the management of critical power system applications covering the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) and South West Interconnected System (SWIS).

This is a key leadership role instilling a shared product vision within the WEM Dispatch Product Domain Team You will serve as an end-to-end custodian for the WEM Dispatch Product Domain providing strategic input into its future direction

What you will be doing

  • Engage key stakeholders including WA Operations Portfolio Delivery WA Reform Program and WA Control Room.
  • Lead the Product Domain teams engagement with operational and portfolio delivery teams to deliver projects and programs.
  • People management duties include resource planning hiring uplifting capability and overseeing Personal Development Plans for permanent staff (PDPs).
  • Accountable for the metrics on the work going through the Domain and systems SLAs.
  • Manage incidents support on call team and coordinate change and release activities.

What you will bring to the role

  • Degree in Information Systems Technology or relevant discipline.
  • Experience in the Energy Operations sector supporting 24x7 Technology Systems.
  • Demonstrated skills in leading teams and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experienced with incident problem capacity and change management processes (ITIL desirable).
  • Ability to provide strategic input into the future direction of the WEM Dispatch domain
