Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten/Years 1-6 Full-time Part-time and fixed-term opportunities.

Great Southern Grammar is growing its 2027 Primary teaching team and invites applications from passionate Early Childhood and Primary teachers who combine excellent classroom practice with genuine care for every child.

We are building a flexible candidate pool across Pre-Kindergarten(Djinda)/Kindergarten and Years 16. Depending on School need workforce design candidateexpertiseand mutual discussion appointments may be full-time or part-time and ongoing or fixed term. Teachers who can contribute confidently across more than one year level are warmly encouraged to apply.

  • Pre-Kindergarten(Djinda)and Kindergarten:Early Childhood teachers who create warmintentionaland play-rich learning environments in which young children feel knownsecureand ready to explore.
  • Years 16:skilled Primary teachers who can build strong foundations extend curiosity andconfidenceand respond thoughtfully to the changing learning and developmental needs of children across the Primary years.
The opportunity

You will design and deliver engaging evidence-informed learning; use assessment and feedback to support progress;maintaina safe and purposeful classroom; and contribute to the pastoral and wider life of theSchool. You will work in partnership with colleagues andfamiliesso students experience consistency challenge and care.

  • Plan and deliver inclusive learning that responds to student strengthsneedsand developmental stages.
  • Use assessmentobservationand feedback to understand progress and refine teaching.
  • Build a calmsafeand purposeful classroom culture in which every child feels known and able toparticipate.
  • Work closely with colleagues on curriculum moderationtransitionand student support.
  • Build constructive partnerships with families through clear respectful communication.
  • Contribute positively to the pastoralprofessionaland wider community life of theSchool.
What you will bring
  • Appropriate teaching qualifications and current or provisional TRBWA registration or eligibility to obtain registration before commencement.
  • For Pre-Kindergarten(Djinda)/Kindergarten appointments an ACECQA-recognisedEarly Childhood Teacher qualification and sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework National QualityStandardand relevant Western Australian curriculum guidance.
  • Strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to plan teachassessand refine inclusive learning programs.
  • A clear commitment to literacy numeracy student wellbeing positivebehaviourand differentiated learning.
  • Strong communicationand relationship-building skills with studentscolleaguesand families.
  • A collaborative reflective and flexible approach with a clear commitment to child safety and the values of theSchool.
  • A Working with Children Check satisfactory National Police History Check valid First Aid certification and mandatory-reporting training or capacity to satisfy these requirements before commencement.
