Porter Part Time
Job Summary
We are looking for two part-time Porters who will create a welcoming environment for everyone who comes into our hotel. You will be based at our Concierge desk on the ground floor and will be the first person guests and visitors engage with. Our guests will look for your assistance with their luggage questions about the hotel and information about the conference precinct and Melbourne in general.

Offering the award rate of $25.85 per hour (increasing from 1 July) plus applicable penalty rates this role offers a great development opportunity to grow your skills and confidence in a busy hotel in the heart of Melbournes conferencing precinct and to be a part of the global Accor community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Be present at the Concierge desk or in the lobby to be ready to assist guests colleagues and visitors
- Provide knowledgeable and friendly service to guests visitors contractors and colleagues
- Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage in an efficient and timely manner
- Assist guests with any enquiries or concerns
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities and Melbourne attractions
- Communicate with other departments to ensure relevant information is communicated
- Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests
Qualifications :
- Previous customer service experience preferably in a hotel environment
- Ability to provide prompt and efficient service building rapport both in person and over the telephone
- Able to work independently as well as being a collaborative team member
- Self-motivated with positive and professional attitude and excellent presentation
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members
- Fluency in English is required additional language/s would be an advantage
- Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings evenings weekends and public holidays.
