Plant Accountant

About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plant Accountant to join our Finance team at our MCC Label Darra site. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an accounting professional looking to develop their career in a dynamic manufacturing role is initially offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position based on individual performance and business requirements. This provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities while building a long-term career with addition the role offers valuable exposure to Financial Controller responsibilities. The successful candidate will provide support and occasional cover for the Financial Controller during periods of leave and absence gaining hands-on experience in higher-level financial reporting compliance analysis and business partnering include Prepare and review daily and monthly bank reconciliations investigating and resolving balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting journals accruals and month-end accounting and coordinate month-end close activities to ensure reporting deadlines are monthly Profit & Loss reports variance analysis and management statutory reporting requirements and financial in fixed asset accounting including additions disposals and depreciation inventory reconciliations stock reporting and inventory valuation manufacturing costs production data and operational BAS tax and other compliance reporting audit requests schedules and supporting KPI reports dashboards and financial performance with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and reporting process improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement You Degree qualified in Accounting Finance or a related towards or completed CA/CPA qualification is highly regarded but not a requirementPrevious experience in a financial accounting management accounting or plant accounting within a manufacturing environment will be understanding of accounting principles reconciliations and month-end with inventory accounting costing or fixed asset management is analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify key attention to detail and commitment to communication and stakeholder management to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced in ERP systems (we use CERM) and Microsoft Excel.A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement Australian working BenefitsAccess to novated leasing offering a convenient tax-effective way to get a new vehicle with no upfront costs and full-service pay and benefits onsite & wellness program and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Private health insurance development opportunities locally and globally within referral rewards for helping us find great programs that celebrate performance and social events fostering a fun and friendly workplace.A values-driven inclusive and supportive culture.
